For the question, Which personal treasure would you miss most?

You answered that you would miss your mobile phone the most. I think I agree with you. I went a number of years without getting a mobile phone. I didn't think I needed it, but now I can't live without it. How did I ever get to my destinations without a cell phone in hand?
I use mine as an assistant that remembers important information for me. It serves as a calendar, personal assistant, a camera, video recorder, sound recorder, and a way to stay in contact with friends.
Have you ever run out of battery power at the wrong moment? A critical moment when it's imperative to have an operating cell phone. Or those times when you're roaming about the city and you lose signal, do you feel lost and alone?
It's interesting in the late nineties, the company I worked for lost all their phone land lines one day when there was a fire at a telephone switching station. For five days I had to go to one of the company vice-president's automobile and make calls to my clients. He had a cell phone box that plugged into his cigarette lighter. The box was larger than my land line phone at home.
