I had some fun today putting together a graphic that showed me on the cover of a book. There are many tools out there to help people create book covers. In the past, I've used Photoshop, Gimp, IRFanView, and my latest is BookBrush.

BookBrush is great because it's geared toward authors. The company provides tools that make it easy to mock up a cover quickly. When I was working on Quest for the Crystal, I mocked up over 50 covers to show my wife, who has better artistic vision than I do.

Somehow I found an old photo of me that was taken pre-Covid and at one point I made a black and white copy of it. So, I thought it would be fun to remove the photo's background and then add a castle in the back ground and plop my face in front of the castle. Voila, instant book cover. Now, my wife hasn't seen it, so if you don't like it, then it's all on me, and you can't blame her.

What do you think? It only took ten minutes, so not a horrible waste of time. I currently don't have a beard and I was shooting for the wise wizard look, with the black and white, but because I'm smiling it just looks like another old baby boomer. LOL.
