Staying Dry - A Short Story

This short story is based on a true story that my brother-in-law shared with me. He’s the owner of multiple technology patents in the family, and truly thought he could safely get to the store without getting wet. If he hadn’t survived, I don’t think his parents would have ever known what had happened to him.

Bob wants to go to the local store to pick up some candy. His friend Joe likes excitement and when it starts raining Joe may make a horrible decision. But good old Bob only has one friend, so where Joe goes, Bob will follow.
