Struggles of Indie Publishing
The reality of writing involves a lot of behind-the-scenes costs -- like copy edits, developmental edits, cover designs, ebook formatting, and delivery services. Every bit of support helps me cover these expenses and brings great stories to life.
If you'd like to be a part of my writing journey, I'd be thrilled to receive your support for a month, a quarter, or even a year. As a thank you, you'll get exclusive sneak peeks at works in progress, and we can connect through polls and feedback sessions. You'll have a direct hand in shaping my stories!
Modern Day Patron
Think of yourself as a modern-day Medici, supporting the arts and being a patron to a master artist. Support me at the silver level or above for at least a month, and I'll put your name in my next book as a thank you.
I've been published since 2018 and have written five fantasy novels. Currently, I'm finishing the final book in the Mountain King series, scheduled for publication in January 2025. I'm also working on the Alpherge the Mighty series, a fun action-adventure idea featuring our young wizard, Alpherge, helping those in need in the mountains of Aloheno. These will be standalone fantasy novels.
Thank You!
Thank you for being such an amazing part of this journey!

Kenneth Brown Action Adventure Fantasy Author
Writing is the most fun I've had in my multi-career journey through life. I love bringing characters to life and then making their lives miserable until the very end.
I write Action Adventure Fantasy novels that I liken to Harry Potter meets Treasure Island.
I first became interested in fantasy novels when I was in high school reading the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and grew up reading Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke, Grafton, Cussler, Anne McCaffrey, and Robert Jordan.
When I'm not writing, you might find me hiking the trails in one of America's National Parks. My favorite National Park is whichever park I'm in at the moment. I've walked across Spain journeying on the French Way of the Camino de Santiago starting from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France. Walking in nature helps ground me for the novels I write.
It's okay if now isn't the time for you to support me. Choose to become a FREE follower at this time, and maybe someday in the future the time will be right for you to support me financially. I appreciate you reading my novels and hope today is your best day ever.
How are the ebooks delivered and in what format?
I use Bookfunnel for ebook delivery. They are good about providing tech support for devices that I know nothing about, so if you have any trouble getting the ebook from Bookfunnel to your e-reader, just click the help link at the top of the page, and they will answer your questions.
How often do you publish?
Historically, I've been publishing one book a year, but I've tried to up my writing productivity and will actually publish two this year. I'm looking at writing more action adventure with a flavor of fantasy which will be shorter tomes. More in the sixty thousand words rather than one-hundred thousand plus words per novel. This should give me a better chance to deliver two books or more each year.
Who are you?
I'm the author of 5 novels, covering one almost completed series, all in the fantasy genre. I'm finishing up the epic fantasy Mountain King series, and transitioning to the Alpherge the Mighty action adventure fantasy series.
What kind of trouble can Alpherge get himself into, and will he be able to find the people he needs to keep him from getting killed as he goes on amazing adventures and magical quests?
Can I support you on a different platform than Payhip?
I'm researching three other platforms—Ream, Buy Me a Coffee, and Patreon. Each has its pros and cons, and I understand some readers may feel more comfortable on platforms where they already have a presence. If you have a preference, let me know, and I'll do my best to make it easier for you to support my work on your preferred platform.
My vision is to put the same content on all four platforms, so you won't miss anything by being on a different platform than your friends.
Do you have additional questions?
I suspect I haven't answered all your questions. Feel free to click on the contact us form up above, send me a message, and I will reply as soon as possible.
