Yesterday, I set up the print version of
Haskell Orphan to King.
Then sent it off to Ingram Sparks for printing of the paperback version. It's been a long time in the making. I don't write nearly as fast as I think I do, and some of these projects take years, when if I were a more diligent writer, I could crank out the first draft in three months or less.
But, the writing life is fickle.
Here's what the cover will look like. I created this in Book Brush, using their images.
Once this is complete in late August, I will put Haskell Orphan to King as a paid ebook and give something else for free as my reader magnet of choice. I don't know what that will be yet.
Make sure you have Haskell Orphan to King in your eReader before this becomes a paid eBook. Remember, subscribers to my newsletter will receive the full eBook for free. Here's the blurb from the back of the book.
Captured by Gadiel's thugs and thrown into a life of crime, Haskell must learn to survive in the dangerous underworld of the kingdom or face death. But as he navigates the cutthroat world of thieves and smugglers, Haskell discovers that he possesses a hidden talent for magic, a power that Gadiel will stop at nothing to control.
As Haskell struggles to forge his own path and escape Gadiel's clutches, he becomes enamored with Princess Noreen, the beautiful and sheltered daughter of the king. Determined to win her affection and become more than a common thief, Haskell vows to become a lord and prove his worth to the princess.
But fate has other plans for Haskell, as he seeks the help of the spiritualist and fortune-teller, Forest River Blossom, who reveals a future for Haskell that he never could have imagined. As he fights for love and power in a world of danger and deceit, Haskell must find the strength and courage to seize his destiny and claim his place in the kingdom.
Here's a closeup of the back cover.
This week, I will dedicate time to formatting the eBook and I will make the entire book free until the paperback book is published.
Happy Reading.
